Revolutionary Brain Implant Allows A Blind Woman To See Simple Shapes

The tiny device called the Utah Electrode Array has hundreds of microneedles, is smaller than a penny and uses an electrode array.

A team of scientists have managed to partially restore a blind woman’s vision through brain implants. A “visual prosthesis” implanted into the brain has allowed the woman to see simple shapes and distinguish letters after being blind for over 16 years.
